The White Russian cocktail, an abiding classic drink, is made with vodka, Kahlúa, a coffee liqueur and cream, usually served in a rocks glass. At its finest, it’s a drink that doubles as dessert while not drowning you in syrupy sweetness. But it does pack a bit of a punch.
A variation of the Black Russian, the White Russian cocktail is made the same way but with the addition of the cream. Neither drink is actually of Russian origin but probably got their names because vodka is the primary spirit.
Add a spoonful or so of the rim sugar to a shallow bowl. Brush two chilled rocks glasses with the simple syrup and dip into the sugar.
Next, add the vodka and Kahlua to each glass. Top with the heavy cream, stir gently and serve. To create a layered effect, pour the cream slowly over the back of bar spoon to create the layered look – and do not stir before serving. Sprinkle some of Dell Cove Sugar Cookie popcorn seasoning on top, and serve.
