Who doesn’t love a Candy Corn martini? This Halloween candy corn cocktail recipe is too delicious to make it just for Halloween! The orange colored drink tastes just like a liquid boozy, candy corn. (It’s also pretty strong – so sip slowly.)

Making the candy corn infused vodka is really easy: It only takes two ingredients and about 4 hours or so, a sealed jar (like a Mason jar) and the vodka color is a perfect and vibrant pumpkin orange. The cocktail sugar rimmer can be a little challenging to get right, because of the tiny pumpkin-shaped candy sprinkles. In order to get them to stick, you will need to brush honey or corn syrup onto the rim of your glasses.

One more note of caution: The black sanding sugar is VERY color intensive and can stain your mouth if you use too thick of a sugar rim.

Category, Yields1 Serving

Ingredients

 ½ cup Candy Corn
 1 cup Vodka
4 oz candy corn infused vodka
 15 oz Triple Sec
 1 oz fresh lime juice
 Honey or corn syrup

Directions

FIRST, MAKE YOUR CANDY CORN VODKA
1

Place 1/2 cup of candy corn into a pint-sized mason jar. Fill with vodka (about 1 cup or so). Cover jar with lid and screw on tight. Give the jar a shake every 30 minutes and watch the candy dissolve. After 4 hours, the candy should be dissolved. Strain the vodka through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Store the vodka in your glass mason jar.

NEXT, RIM YOUR GLASSES
2

Pour 1 teaspoon of the black sanding sugar with 1 teaspoon of the pumpkin confetti sprinkles into a shallow bowl, and mix together. Brush honey or corn syrup onto the rim of your glass. Turn your glass upside down, at a 45-degree angle, and dip glass rim into the sugar-candy mix. Gently move the glass around the sugar, rotating the glass as you go.

Lift glass out of sugar. Tap off excess. Turn glass right-side up and repeat process. If there are empty spots, it means there was not enough moisture on the rim. To fix, simply dab glass rim with syrup and dip again in sugar mix.

THEN, MAKE YOUR COCKTAIL
3

Add 4 oz of your Candy Corn vodka, 1.5 oz of the Triple Sec and 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into your garnished glasses and serve.

Bar supplies:

Pint-sized mason jar

Rocks or martini glasses (chilled)

Cocktail shaker

Fine sifter or cheesecloth
