Our Candy Cane martini recipe is a bright, fun and merry cocktail that will surely keep your (and Santa’s) spirits bright at your holiday parties. It’s easy and fun to make the peppermint vodka at home, by infusing vodka with candy canes. Yes, it’s as simple as that. Then garnish your martini glasses using our Candy Cane cocktail sparkle sugar and you’ve got a holiday party in a glass.
Pour the 3 cups of vodka into a large jar with an airtight lid. Add the miniature candy canes and seal the jar. Let the vodka stand for up to 24 to 48 hours, shaking periodically. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer and pour into a clean jar to store.
Add a tablespoon or so of the candy cane sugar to a shallow bowl. Brush the edges of two cocktail glasses with the simple syrup and dip them into the sugar. Set aside.
Add the candy cane infused vodka and peppermint schnapps to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, shake well, strain into the prepared glasses and serve.
