We love a good tequila sunrise, and we came up with this recipe when we had some extra peach Schnapps left over from a party. The result tastes a lot more like a cocktail you’d enjoy by the pool or beach-side in the Bahamas. If you have access to fresh peaches, you can toss the fruit into a blender to make a quick puree and add a dollop into each glass for a bit of summery warmth.
- 1 oz Amaretto
- 2 oz Peach Schnapps
- 3 oz silver tequila
- 6 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz grenadine
- simple syrup (for moistening glass rims)
- Dell Cove Spices’ Orange colored Cocktail Rim Sugar
Moisten the rims of your chilled glasses with simple syrup and garnish with Dell Cove Spices’ Orange cocktail rim sugar. Set aside.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine remaining ingredients. Cover shaker and shake vigorously until the shaker is well chilled. Strain drink into rimmed glasses and serve. Optional: To add a fizziness to the drink, add a splash of lemon-lime soda or sparkling water. Garnish with fresh slices of peach or lime wheels.
