1 lb. Ground beef (85% fat content)
2 Tablespoons Dell Cove Steak Seasoning
4 Slices American or cheddar cheese
1/4 Cup mayonnaise
1/4 Red onion, peeled and thinly sliced
1 Dozen slices, bread and butter dill pickles
Marinated tomatoes (see recipe below)
4 Hamburger or pretzel buns, lightly toasted
For the Marinated Tomatoes:
1 Pint assorted heirloom cherry tomatoes
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Teaspoon Dell Cove Classic Steak Seasoning
Slice the tomatoes in half or in quarters, toss with the olive oil and teaspoon of steak seasoning. Set aside.
Season the ground beef with the steak seasoning and divide into four equal parts. Form patties and either grill or cook in a cast iron pan to your desired level of done.
Spread the bottom half of each bun or pretzel roll with an equal amount of the mayonnaise. When the burgers are done, place one slice of cheese on each and then place on top of the mayo. The heat of the burger will melt the cheese. Top with the bread and butter pickles, thinly sliced red onions and a generous helping of the marinated tomatoes. Top with the remaining half of the bun and serve hot.
