If you’ve ever visited New York’s iconic Serendipity restaurant, you’ve certainly seen couples sipping a giant chocolate slushy from a wide glass with two straws. The eatery’s family friendly recipe does not include alcohol but we certainly like the idea of a boozy frozen hot chocolate.

We made ours with good quality semi-sweet chocolate, not a hot cocoa mix. Then we added coffee liqueur and topped it with a generous drizzle of our chocolate rum caramel sauce. This is one delicious, adult treat!
