Want the best white sangria recipe for your girls movie night? This white sangria recipe is yummy and easy to make, and pairs well with our salted caramel popcorn recipe, using Dell Cove® Salted Caramel popcorn seasoning. Why? Because you always want to have popcorn when you are watching a movie, and the salty sweetness of this popcorn recipe brings out the fruity flavors of the sangria. This cocktail and popcorn recipe duo has been a hit with friends and family we’ve hosted for Sunday brunch. We also had guests gushing over when I hosted a bridal shower for a friend.
FILM RECOMMENDATION: The movie for this cocktail and popcorn pairing is “A Walk in the Clouds” – a sweet romantic film set in the vineyards of Northern California in the months right after World War II. There is wine, there is love – and it stars Keanu Reeves in his early years. *swoon*Print

FOR THE SALTED CARAMEL POPCORN
DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING THE BEST WHITE SANGRIA
STEP 1: PREP THE WINE
Put wine, liqueur and simple syrup into a large pitcher and stir well. Add fruit, stir again, and refrigerate the pitcher for at least 2 hours. (We recommend letting this mix rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours.)
STEP 2: GARNISH YOUR GLASSES
Pour the pink sanding sugar onto a flat plate or shallow bowl. Rub a slice of lime or lemon around your glass rim to moisten the glass rims – or use simple syrup or a watered-down honey. If you go with this sweeter option, pour the syrup onto a separate plate or shallow bowl.
Turn your glass upside down and dip glass rim into syrup. Lift your glass straight up, and hold it over the plate for a few seconds, to allow excess syrup to drip off. (A little syrup goes a long way!) Then, dip the rim of your glass into the cocktail rim sugar.
Gently move the glass around the sugar, rotating the glass as you go. Lift glass out of sugar. Tap off excess. Turn glass right-side up and repeat process until all the glasses are rimmed with sugar. Place the glasses in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
STEP 3: POUR AND SERVE
When ready to serve, pull your chilled glasses out of the refrigerator, fill them with ice and set aside. Add sparkling water to your sangria pitcher, stir gently – and then fill glasses with the drink. Garnish with fruit slices and mint, and serve.
DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING SALTED CARAMEL POPCORN
FIRST, POP YOUR POPCORN
Using a 6 quart pan, add 4 T oil (vegetable, peanut or coconut work best) and 4 popcorn kernels. (Essentially, enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.) Cover the pan with a lid and place it over medium heat.
After these kernels pop, the oil is extremely hot. VERY CAREFULLY add about 1/3 cup of kernels, re-cover your pan and shake the pan back and forth, to coat the corn kernels and prevent burning. When the popping sound slows to one pop every 3 – 5 seconds, remove the pan from the heat and put the popcorn into a big bowl.

NEXT, SEASON YOUR POPCORN
Dell Cove® seasonings stick best to popcorn that is slightly moist and freshly popped.
Drizzle some melted butter or ghee, or a spritz of olive oil or even truffle oil onto your bowl of popped popcorn. Sprinkle on some Dell Cove® Salted Caramel Popcorn Seasoning onto the popcorn. Using a spoon, gentle stir the popcorn to help the seasoning coat the popped corn. Repeat this process until the popcorn is seasoned to taste.
