The Apple Martini, or Appletini, is a popular cocktail with lots of variation in ways to blend this drink. Want more sweetness? Add a splash of simple syrup. Want warmer notes? Use caramel-flavored vodka. And, of course, the signature bright green color is fun to look it.
The green hue comes from the apple schnapps. If you’re not familiar with schnapps in general, they are heavily sweetened forms of liqueur made by mixing a neutral grain spirit with fruit syrups, spices, or other flavors. They tend to be inexpensive and low in alcohol but high in concentrated taste. You can find them in lots of different flavors and they also act as the sweetener for whatever drink you’re making.
